How to prepare for quizzes, unit tests, and practice-test tiers on vectors and matrices (intro) in Pre-calculus · Honors. Focus: Perform vector operations and basic matrix work for systems.
What "ready" looks like
You are ready for a mid-topic check when you can:
- Convert between degrees and radians when needed
- Read amplitude, period, and phase shift from an equation or graph
- Apply right-triangle or unit-circle definitions correctly
- Check calculator mode (DEG vs RAD) before evaluating
Before the quiz or test

- State a one-sentence interpretation when the problem is contextual.
- If stuck, try a simpler number version, then return to the given values.
Common traps
- Wrong calculator mode
- Period formula mistakes (2pi/|B|)
- Confusing phase shift with vertical shift
- Using Law of Sines/Cosines in the wrong case
